Cookies and similar storage

Cookies are small pieces of data a website can store through a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, which can retain information in your browser without using a traditional cookie.

Essential account storage

If you sign in, our authentication provider stores a session token and related security information in browser storage. This is necessary to keep you signed in, refresh the secure session and show the correct account state. A small DatingChoice value records whether the navigation should display “Account” or “Sign in”. These values are not used for advertising.

Optional website analytics

If you select “Accept cookies”, DatingChoice loads Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID G-SWRCQ86ZNN. It helps us understand information such as visited pages, approximate location, device type, referral source and general interaction patterns. We use this information to improve our editorial content and website experience. We send the page address without its query string or fragment so that sign-in codes and similar URL parameters are not included.

Analytics is disabled by default and the Google Analytics tag does not load unless you give permission. We have also disabled Google signals and advertising-personalisation signals in our implementation. If you reject optional cookies, we store only that preference locally so we do not repeatedly ask you.

You can change your choice at any time by selecting “Cookie settings” in the website footer. Withdrawing permission prevents future analytics collection from this browser and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies set for DatingChoice.

Google sign-in

If you choose “Continue with Google”, your browser is redirected to Google. Google may use cookies or similar technologies on its own pages to authenticate you and protect its service under Google’s policies.

Essential infrastructure

Hosting, authentication, content-delivery or security providers may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to deliver the site, balance traffic or prevent abuse. These mechanisms are controlled by the relevant provider and may change as infrastructure is maintained.

Third-party and affiliate links

When you leave DatingChoice for another website, that provider or an affiliate network may set cookies or process referral data under its own policies. DatingChoice does not control the destination site’s cookie choices.

Browser controls and signing out

You can sign out through the account page, which removes the current authentication session from this browser. Most browsers also let you view, block or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking essential storage prevents account sign-in from working correctly.

Future changes

If we add or materially change analytics, advertising or personalisation technologies, we will update this policy and the available consent choices before using them where required.
